Campaign

Between January 2017 and May 2017, we deployed wireless sensor-kits in eight occupied single-family buildings in Switzerland. The deployment of one sensor-kit consisting of up to 18 sensors took approximately three hours, including the briefing of the occupants and questionnaire. The collection of the sensor-kit at the end of the measurement campaign took approximately one hour including occupant questionnaire. Per building, we measured indoor air temperature and relative humidity (3x), windows opening times (3x), CO2 concentration (1x), supply and return temperatures (3x), inside and outside air temperatures of building elements (3x), heat flux through building elements (1x), electricity consumption (if possible) and oil flow (if possible).
From the collected measurement data, two measurement reports were generated automatically. One measurement report contains a visualization of the entire measured data (sample report). This is meant as an aid for manual quality assessment of the measured data. The second automated report is a summary of the measured data, meant as a handout for the case study participants (sample report).
